Bloodstream Set- Help Needed

I've altered the trees in this shot to make each one look unique in the shot.
After I finished modelling each tree I selected 3 to smooth out the models, but this doesn't show up once rendered.

This also happened when I started to experiment with the sky in the background. The image plain placed in the scene dos not show up in render view.

Hookworm Holidays- Small Character Changes

I noticed my male hookworm was not looking very similar to the drawings I had done, so I enlarged his eyes and made him some glasses. I feel now he resembles what I originally wanted him to look like.

Hookworm Holidays- Modelling the Bloodstream Set

When making the bloodstream set I started off with building a landscape. So I used a polygon cube and enlarged it horizontally to make a plain.

Then I deleted the bottom layer and adjusted the top to form bumps and hills, and I made sure to leave a gap for where the stream is located.

This gave me the chance to test out different shots of the set for when I create a camera rig. It gave me a sense of perspective that I could envision in my head.

Next I took my tree model and duplicated it multiple times, to create the woodlands on the river side. This left me to place each tree on the landscape and position them according to the camera shot.

What I have so far, I am yet to adjust every tree and texture the set. I may make a start on other sets before then.

Hookworm Holidays- Tree Modelling

One of the environments in Hookworm Holidays has trees made out of veins in it, so I've attempted making one of these trees from my artwork and then I plan to duplicate and alter the copies. Making this one tree was both tedious and time consuming, and the trees are part of the background so I'd rather spend more time other things rather this.

Hookworm Holidays- Props to be made in Maya

I've started working on one of the sets to be used in my animation on Maya. I then realized that I was building this set from a concept drawing and not an actual plan. To be honest I feel that working like this is working when creating an environment based on something organic like the human body. It makes it look more natural and I think I prefer working in an instinctive style. Though there are a few props involved in the production that need some more art work done on them, so I can have a reference when modelling them in Maya.

Last Life Drawing Session of the Year!

Since it was the last life drawing session today I decided to spend the whole day doing life drawings. In today's session we were challenged to create drawings in short periods of time. Some were five minutes, others were ten seconds. And there were a few twenty minute long poses for more detailed sketches.
